Sims 4 cc baby hairs3/30/2024 ![]() ![]() IMPORANT note to BaseGame users (and early-EP users): You can also just switch them for a genetic or default hair, if you really do want them to have hair. If you grow tired of them, or want your toddlers to grow up wearing fizzy hairstyles again, you can simply take the hairs out of your game, and the babies will revert to the default “no hair” style. Since the hairs are toddler hairs to start with, this does explain why the toddlers lack the back of their head, but this is the only way so far that lets them be custom. Leaving them in didn’t fix the toddler issue, so there was no point in keeping them. * There are no other ages from the files, simply because you really don’t need a bunch of maxis hairs cluttering the hair bins. There is a bald CC hair, so if you absolutely want to use skin hairs for some infants, that’s an option. Most of the “skintight” hairs are already added as custom hairs, anyway. * The babies will probably look weird using skintones with added infant hairs, so try to stay away from those. All the hairs have a hovertext, so they should be easy enough to locate. This means you have to click through them to choose a hair. * Hairs show as empty thumbnails in “change appearance”, BUT they show on the baby to the left. ![]() This can easily be fixed by “change appearance”, and as far as I know, it will not affect the sim in any way. * The babies grow to toddlers lacking the back of the head (or lacking a hair, if you want). There are two problems and one small issue so far: They also work for all skins, so no more having to use only default skins. You can let them keep the hairstyle they already have when you enter the lot, or you can give them a new one. Yep, you heard me right! No more choosing just one hairstyle, or going in and out of the game, or having to use default skintones because hairs won’t work on custom ones. After saving, they’ll keep their hair.Īnd the best bit? You can have as many as you want! When you’re happy with the baby’s hair, you have to save the lot for the baby to keep the chosen hairstyle, or they’ll be assigned a new, random hairstyle the next time you visit the lot. Like for accessories, you’ll need a mod that enables the “change appearance” menu for infants (such as the Insimenator or the Sim Blender - might be others as well). The hairs can also be changed through the “Change appearance” menu (including hair color, but remember to also change eyebrows). They are binned/familied into the proper hair colors. The hairstyles are assigned randomly in the proper genetic color to the baby at birth or on the first visit to a lot with babies living on it. The types might interfere with each other, so better be safe.Ĭustom baby hairs will act mostly like regular toddler to adult hair. You won’t need the others, unless you absolutely want toddlers to have hair when they grow up (and in that case, either use default or genetic hairs). Take out all default and genetic hairs (if you have any), and plop these in. TS2 Tutorial - How to use custom hair for Babies
